Soy Mailén Parmiggiani, Educadora Perinatal y Doula (puedes conocer mas detalles sobre mi formación aqui) .
Trabajo en México pero me ha tocado acompañar partos de mujeres y parejas de tan diversas partes del mundo. Atestiguar la grandeza de la mujer que pare o que debe enfrentarse a una cesárea que no quería, me muestra la valentía que somos capaces de conquistar.
Percibo, en cada parto, cómo se despierta algo primitivo que siempre ha estado allí y que nos transforma. Veo como hay mujeres que se acercan a esa sensación con miedo, más que al dolor, a lo que hay mas allá de él; A conocer esa parte de sí mismas que hasta entonces permanecía velada.
El parto es un ritual de paso, y como tal, una puerta de transición a un estadio más amplio de tí mismo. Y en casi todas las culturas antiguas, los ritos de paso conllevan dolor. Pues lo que estás conquistando está más allá del cuerpo físico. Estás conquistando un tesoro para el espíritu.
Eres poderosa.

Y como ilustradora, pintora y escultora, quería reunir mis pasiones; representar en el arte, lo que los nacimientos y las familias me enseñan.
Así nace IlustraDoula, una fusión de mis pasiones. Donde con el arte como medio o herramienta, te ofresco servicios para acompañarte en la preparación al nacimiento, y a los primeros años en la maternidad.
Todos hechos para tí. Para que te reflejes e inspires. Para recordarte que TU SABES PARIR. Solo tienes que darte permiso y confiar.

I am Mailén Parmiggiani, Perinatal Educator and Doula (you can learn more about my training here).
I work in Mexico but I have had to accompany the births of women and couples from so many different parts of the world. Witnessing the greatness of the woman who gives birth or who has to face a caesarean section that she did not want, shows me the courage that we are capable of conquering.
I perceive, in each birth, how something primitive that has always been there and that transforms us is awakened. I see how there are women who approach that sensation with fear, more than pain, of what is beyond it; To know that part of themselves that until then remained veiled.

Childbirth is a ritual of passage, and as such, a transition door to a broader stage of yourself. And in almost all ancient cultures, rites of passage carry pain. For what you are conquering is beyond the physical body. You are conquering a treasure for the spirit.

And as an illustrator, painter, and sculptor, I wanted to bring my passions together; represent in art what births and families teach me:
